Our Classroom-Based Program

The Purpose

Agriculture Education on the Move is a 10-week hands-on education program delivered by trained, diverse, and passionate educators. The program identifies key classroom objectives and meets standards primarily in the areas of science, math, reading, and writing. We offer this course in summer sessions and typical school year sessions.

What You Can Expect

Our ten-week in-classroom program is the foundation of what we do. Our team is passionate about creating fun and educational learning experiences for students in the classroom. We want participants to connect the dots between their hamburger, carton of milk or eggs, box of crayons and more, while learning to appreciate today’s farm families and how technology allows us to do more with fewer resources.

The in-classroom programs engage students, while incorporating critical learning objectives and meeting state and national standards. Participating classrooms apply their knowledge through hands-on STEM activities following each lesson around crops, livestock, soil and water science, nutrition, and careers. Our program focuses on equipping passionate educators with partner resources and materials developed by agriculture education organizations. We believe that by working together, we can achieve more.

One acre of soybeans creates over 82,000 crayons.

Today, eggs and milk arrive to the grocery store in less than 48 hours of leaving the farm.

Farm families work 365 days a year to provide us with everyday products.

Did you know the average cattle herd size in Missouri is 41 cows?
